This book was very well written, very sad but also very happy at times. I recommend it 100%

Absolutely heartbreaking (although having read A Thousand Splendid Sons I expected nothing less). It's a terrible tease that over and over again he lets you think that maybe everything will turn out alright in the end, and then Hosseini takes that hope away in brutal ways over and over again. A very devastating but enthralling read.

This is a hard going book, I think if you need to please check trigger warnings if you need to. I cried a lot, beautifully written and gives a real insight to the history of Afghanistan.
