This book made me incredibly emotional. I wish I read it sooner. Really satisfying read, excellent character development, and the writing was beautiful and haunting. I absolutely could not put this book down when I was reading it.

A beautiful story of friendship, loss, family, love, and the possibility of redemption.  Through Amir’s eyes we see the crumbling of the Afghani monarchy, the betrayal and loss of friends and family, and the struggles if adapting to life in America.  A heartbreakingly beautiful story full of tragedy and hope.
