Five words about The Sight: protect Jaypaw at all costs!

Okay, let's start from the beginning: starting the story with kits as MCs is an interesting choice, especially for new readers. I always enjoy it when cats become apprentices and here it was the same. It is so nice to experience with the three what it's like being an apprentice.
The story was nicely fast-paced, and we had only a few moments where nothing exciting was happening. We had some good old Warriors content with border conflicts and epic fights. The only thing that was not that great ending: The competition was a cute idea, but it is a bit unrealistic that this would end all the conflicts the cats have.

Like I mentioned above, Jaypaw is amazing and he's one of my favorite Warriors cats ever. From the beginning, he found a place in my heart. He's well written as a blind cat and especially the depiction of his struggles is so good and real to people living with disabilities, for example how everyone feels sorry for him and are so careful with him (note: I'm not blind myself so I cannot say if it's good representation or not). He deserves so much better, it's so sad that he can't live his dream of being a warrior, it breaks my heart. Especially when Brightheart became his mentor, and he was so disappointed - of course you could say he's behaving like an idiot, but I think his reaction is understandable. I wish he would actually become a warrior because until now, he doesn't seem to be happy becoming a medicine cat instead. I hope he will overcome his internalized ableism and realize that he's important for the clan like every other cat. But I'm a bit worried what he will do with his ability: I find this ability really cool by the way; the dream thematic of Warriors never fails to intrigue me. But I'm not sure what Jaypaw will do with it. He doesn't seem to respect the StarClan and I hope he doesn't do anything stupid with his abilities.

Hollypaw is a nice character as well, I love how she stands up for Jaypaw. But from the beginning, it was obvious that becoming a medicine cat was not the right thing for her. But I felt sorry for her being so disappointed in herself nevertheless, it was so brave that she decided to give up being a medicine cat.

At the moment, Lionpaw is the one of the three I liked the least. I don't have anything to say about him currently.

And we saw some old faces here again. It's always amazing seeing cats from The Prophecy Begins. Obviously, Graystripe returning was one of the best things of this book. I was smiling like an idiot when he came, it felt literally like meeting an old friend. And I love Millie, they're so cute together! Yellowfang being in Jaypaw's dreams made me happy as well, finally my queen is back!

I hope that this series will stay so good as it is at the moment and won't become a disappointment like The New Propehcy. Because as of now, I have barely anything to criticise.
