I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. I’ve never been so mad at a book for ending. I need the sequel in my hands immediately to know how Damien and Amma’s story is going to continue.
If you’re looking for spice this is not the book for you. But I will say this book has one of the hottest scenes I’ve ever read where the main characters remained clothed the entire time and god I wish I could say more than that because it will live rent free in my mind for a very long time.
On top of that it was interesting how they had different classes of magic directly correlating to two different god sets, especially good and evil. Our MMC is a blood mage and even if you’re squeamish about blood it does not go into detail in an uncomfortable way.
I was able to have such a clear image of everything these characters did and looked like the entire time and just fell in love with everything about them alone and together.
