So dang good. Super problematic and unrealistic but I ate this book up. Really good guilty pleasure.

Enjoyed this story. Little cliche and predictable, but different beginning at least.

This book was total trash but it was fun to read. Not sure I'm invested enough to continue with the series...

It reads like a wattpad story and a quick glance at goodreads reviews tells me that the male love interest is an ass who gets redeemed. *sigh* I’m so done with this shit

When I started this book I thought I wouldn't really like it, but after just a couple of pages I was addicted to it.

Ella was such a different character than What I'm used too. She was a victim with a warrior's mentality. She was fierce and was able to stand up to 5 boys, which I applaud her for...

That being said, those Royals were really something. When they say "these Royals will ruin you", they will. I hated them, I hated their behaviours (why were they such jerks, like I get the whole money thing but it's still not acceptable to treat another human being that way).

Can we talk about Reed!? Never liked him. ASSHOLE. Everything about him was disgusting and I was begging for Ella to wake the fuck up. But I think the next book will be in his perspective and i'm curious to see how that will unfold. I hope we get a better understanding of his behaviour.

Easton was probably my fave Royal just because he was funny.

Guys, this book is basically the young adult version of 50 shades of grey. And honestly It had a LOT of descriptive sex scenes so beware.

The reason I didn't give this book a 5 Stars is because 1) How cocky/sexism/manipulative Reed (and the other Royals) was 2) I saw the end coming from the moment they started to see each others.

But this book was great and I couldn't put it down!! Excited for the next one!

I started reading this book because I was listening to the audio drama ‘The Royals of Malibu’ which is based on this series. I was tired of waiting for weekly updates and at the time I thought the books would be just like the audio drama (I was wrong). I think I actually prefer the books over the audio drama.

This book definitely became a guilty pleasure because by no means is the drama and the relationships that are portrayed in this book healthy (that’s okay though because not every book needs to be.) There’s a lot of sexism and toxicity book the book is also based in the south so…

This is your typical “good girl x bad boy” romance. That is if you can even classify Ella as a good girl and Reed as a bad boy (aside from trying to ruin Ella’s life before she got to Astor Prep and illegal street fighting Reed really isn’t even that much of a bad boy). Cliches aside this book was so entertaining to me. There were definitely moments where i was like “Ella stand up, have a backbone” but we wouldn’t have our main pairing if she did.

Reading Paper Princess felt like I was just watching a new season of Gossip Girl. The ending of book 1 is pretty similar to how season 1 ended in the audio drama so i wasn’t too rattled, but Reed Royal count your days!!
