I enjoy reading trashy romantic novels on holidays and this didn't disappoint. It even had a twist at the end I didn't see coming!

One of the Amazon First books I got for free and really glad I did not pay for this book. I honestly did not read to the end. I started the first few chapters and thought this is really lame. I perused through it and it picked out the necessary items to get the story's context. It was easy since the writing is so basic and predictable. A romance book that is really regurgitating a story that everyone knows. Not worth it!

This book is heavy but in a good way. It still a romantic comedy and I was laughing so hard but there moments where I truly felt like for Jenna. The relationships and the issues happening with them feel real sometimes, like the baggage a lot of us have bleeds over but it doesn’t mean it’s the end of the world. The subject matter is a lot so definitely processed with caution when reading, that being said it’s totally work the read.

I didn't like this book for the first couple of chapters, but fortunately I kept reading because it turned out to be cute and fun. This is what I call a light, fluffy book with a pretty predictable ending, but I found it be be enjoyable along the way. Not all books have to be heavy and deep, some are just entertaining.

4 About That Fling Stars

I am on the fence if I loved it or liked it. It was different. I wasn’t sure what I wanted out of this book. I liked the connection each character has whether it’s a connection that makes everyone comfortable or not.

I have never experienced any of the heavy issues addressed in this book but my heart goes out to people who have.

I found the book to be a little slow; I liked the time line and all but just felt like we were waiting for something that never really happened.

I am not really sure how to write this review to be honest, I don’t want to give anything away if I talk about it. So I will go generic.

Jenna falls for her best friend Mia’s ex-husband. Her elderly aunt writes erotica. What a hoot she was. And they all have to find a way to work together because Adam the ex has been hired at both Jenna and Mia’s work place.

I smiled a lot in this book, over all a great listen because I upgraded to the audio. I really enjoyed Kelly Mizell’s narration. Worth the read for sure.

I hope I didn’t mess up this review to badly.. eek
*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion and I am allowed to have it.*

A witty modern romance

I don't usually like romance novels as they are often cliche and cheesy but I loved this book. The characters are so relatable and well developed that you really care about them. There's no straightforward villain or bad guy which made the story feel genuine. I loved the witty repartee between the main characters, and Aunt Bertie was just outstanding. My only complaint is that I wish there was more! I finished the whole book in one sitting. It was that good. I look forward to seeing what other great stories this author brings to life.

“We’re all just bumping around together on this planet, trying to do the best we can for ourselves and each other. But there’s only so much we can control.”
Wow , what an excellent book , I was apprehensive when I first started reading , was it going to be confusing or cringe. But oh no , it was amazing , the heartbreak , joy and even the few tears I shedded along the way , made it a book to remember. It showed the truth behind broken relationships , what can seam perfect on the outside is not always okay. And that’s even more okay , relationships won’t be right all the way through , and that’s what happens to lead you to a better future .
“Sometimes, kindness is the worst thing,” she said. “Especially if it unravels your entire justification for something you’ve done. Something you might not be very proud of in the first place.”
“No one gets relationships right on the first try. We probably never get it right, when it all comes down to it. All we can do is take the lessons we’ve learned and keep moving forward.”
