The way I would describe this text is ‘dark whimsical’. I genuinely had no clue where the plot was going,
And couldn’t anticipate all the twists and turns.

It feels that the author had a plethora ideas that he expertly braided together under the theme of ‘dreams’ and ‘Morpheus’.

Through dreams and revelation, this text touches on what it is to be present, human, and the challenges we face outside the dreaming.

I enjoyed this comic and look forward to reading the next volume. That being said, if you are concerned about any kind of sensitive content, I would look up the content warnings. Especially 24 hrs (third to last comic) can be skipped without missing much of the story.

This may be my favorite comic now. After Good Omens I thought Neil Gaiman's writing may not be for me, but I think I just wanted to see a faster-paced story from him. I recommend this for everyone, but skip 24 Hours if you can't stomach edgy 90's psycho horror. And skip the intro, it has spoilers.

This was a fun read. I've heard a lot of great things about it, so I decided to try it. I enjoyed it. It took a chapter or two before I got into it. It wasn't something I could binge-read. But I read a chapter or so per day and enjoyed myself. I plan on continuing to the next volume.

"No. They aren't. People think dreams aren't real because they aren't made of matter, of particles. Dreams ARE real. But they are made of viewpoints, of images, of memories and puns and lost hopes..."

My first foray into an "adult" graphic novel! Graphic novels aren't my preferred format - I like words and I struggle with pictures being the base of the story over written narrative - but I wanted to read these after enjoying the Netflix show last year. It is a bit of a stretch for me, as I also don't read horror much and certainly was disturbed by some scenes, but on the whole, I enjoyed this read and I plan to continue in the series.
