It was okay. I listened to this book and there was bizarre music the entire time that was distracting. Not like Gaiman’s other stuff.

Firstly let me say that Gaiman has a sexy voice. Secondly the string quartet that accompanied this reading was masterful! I need to get more of his writings on my TBR shelf. I really enjoyed this story. Wildly creative and full of adventure.

A very short story/novella, which like much of Gaiman's work is a dark twisted fairy tale. Thoroughly enjoyable on audio, with musical accompaniment that mostly enhances the story.

Even with the very unsettling artwork, I still didn’t expect it to go as dark as it did. Brilliant and brutal and wonderfully told, it’s incredibly effective.
Graphic: Murder
Minor: Rape

Wow! Jaw droppingly and pant wettingly brilliant. Dark as night and beautifully bleak. I'm going to have to repaint the ceiling as Gaiman has just blown my mind all over it.
