A wonderful biography that combines personal growth and anecdotes with a very well articulated political and societal analysis. It's well written, easy to read, and still brings its points across very well without forcing a perspective on you. It is definitely a book that takes your hand to lead you on a journey to make up your own mind.

Lea Ypi tells the tale of her personal journey of communism in Albania and how it shaped her life (and eventual career) and the lives of those in her family. I found her narrative very enthralling, informative and reflective, and I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book.
