Review - It was difficult to believe the change in the Duke of Berham that suddenly took place about two thirds of the way through, and I continued to hate him. Maria I loved, however. I thought that she was a great heroine, but it was difficult to believe that she turned out so well, given her parents. I think Animating Maria was my least favourite of the School for Manners series. Generally implausible, but a good read nonetheless.

I don't know why, but for some reason I enjoyed this one a little bit more than the others. It's not a better book, but I enjoyed it more or something.
