Maybe it’s not fine literature, but it’s silly and heartwarming. I love the main character and it’s plotted well.

3.5 stars, this is a fun somewhat cozy mystery contained pretty neatly in a hotel. The main character is giving Elle Woods vibes, ditzy but somehow clever. There is a line towards the end that is basically "What, like it's hard?". I think I needed a little more biting wit or subversive humor to completely pull this off, it feels a little too fluffy at times. Very enjoyable still.

3.5 rounded up. Cute enough. I started this without reading more than a blurb and I was a little disoriented at first because the cover was giving me 1920's rather than 50's. Otherwise, a fun story, a cute heroine with her heart in the right place (and I liked the backstory and her agoraphobia plot), easy to read and figure out, but overall a nice way to kill a couple hours

The main character was not interesting. I found her kind of annoying. I tried a few times to get into it but couldn't quite get there.
