Jobbig att läsa men samtidigt berikande och lärorik. Man får se en berättelse som ofta inte berättas, eftersom adoption ofta målas som nåt fantastiskt.

As always yet another good book from Cathy Glass. It gives another perspective as to why a child may end up going into foster care and also the long term effect that abuse and neglect can cause

This was such a hard hitting book as the poor child in this book was adopted from a different country as her birth mother rather work and marry a man over her child. Cathy and the Socail workers did so well to help the child and to make sure she got the help she needed. I just didn’t like the way the child parents decided to just take the child from Cathy whilst she was in her care and Socail workers didn’t do much about it at all. Cathy’s writing in this book was done so delicate and so well she always has a way to make the book so real. Cathy glass is such a good foster carer xxx

To read Anna's story was not what I was thinking it was going to go, I don't think people know how much early stages of life can effect the child and how there brain will then work and in this case the extra work/help that should have had happened at the start not when she was five.

My initial reaction was 'what a horrible child' but as we learned more and got to know Anna, my heart completely went out to her

I absolutely love Cathy Glass as usual. She allows you to discover in depth the difficulty of children living in foster care.
The details and the conversations in this book just make you realise what these kids go through.

The cover features a little book, Cathy Glass always chooses to have a child on the front cover, it adds realism to the story and makes you know that the story is a true story.
I really appreciate Cathy giving us so many details and bringing us along with her throughout her journey.
I've never been disappointed by Cathy and she writes perfectly.
