I really enjoyed this book. I’ve seen negative reviews comparing it to Me Before You but I don’t agree with them. Me Before You had a clear ending, but it left me wondering what happens next for Lou, where does her life go from here. After You answered all those questions. I thought it was the perfect follow on!

“You live. And you throw yourself into everything and try not to think of the bruises.” ― Jojo Moyes, After You

At first I found it impossible to give [b:Me Before You|15507958|Me Before You (Me Before You, #1)|Jojo Moyes|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1357108762s/15507958.jpg|17763198] a proper rating and couldn't imagine trying to give it a review without sounding like I hated it. I loved it in a way that might not make sense to others. It broke my heart and filled me with a rage that ultimately changed my life forever. I will always be grateful to [a:Jojo Moyes|281810|Jojo Moyes|https://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1400624880p2/281810.jpg] for this and might even send her a letter telling her so, as suggested by my very good friend, Luke Taylor. :) Thanks Luke.

I almost didn't even read [b:After You|25041504|After You (Me Before You, #2)|Jojo Moyes|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1429029729s/25041504.jpg|44693518] but seeing as I bought both of them together I forced myself to do so and boy, am I glad I did. Turns out me a Louisa Clark have a lot in common. Her grief was mine, her laughter was mine and her entire journey was mine. I'm also one day away from buying a handful of bumble bee tights. ^-^

I am so happy to have read this incredible book.

“I’m still a doughnut, okay?” I said. “I want to be a bun. I really do. But I’m still a doughnut.” ― Jojo Moyes, After You

Not as good as the first book but enjoyed getting to see what Lou was up to. The middle of the book lagged just a bit, ending was good.

Not a bad book, felt a bit forced though, like the author felt obliged to make a sequel to the first. This book could be a stand alone title really. All in all, was okay.

Jojo Moyes has a way of speaking to my soul, she is honestly one of my favorite modern authors and I love the characters and situations that she creates. Even without being able to directly relate to the situations, it is easy to relate to the emotions and that sort of thing. What a lovely story.
