Great continuance, but this one seems a bit less authentic than the other three. Xander is wearing a backwards hat; there was a part where Angel knew a man named Liam (Angel was actually named Liam in the show) and that was when he was a human, but Liam was calling Angel Angelus... And he became Angelus when he was a vampire. There was also a part where Angel was called Angel when he was evil, and when he was evil, he was known as Angelus. Because of this smaller inconsistencies, it didn't feel as if it was exactly like the show but in comic form like the others, but it was still enjoyable! The illustrations are amazing!!! I love the art and how well the characters look like their TV actors.

Though, this has no bearing on the actual content of the book, my copy of this was brand new, and just reading it made it fall a part, so be careful.

Not a huge fan of that Hollower story. Where was Darla? I would've loved a Darla/Catherine fighting dynamic, or a polyamorous situation with Darla/Catherine/Angelus. ANYWAYS...

The graphics are SO BAD. The stories are pretty crap, too, save for the Spike and Dru, and I kind of sort of liked The Hollower arc. But the rest - SO SO SO BAD! Especially when compared to Season Eight.

Eh it was okay. The only thing I liked was the Spike and Dru short. As for the main story and the other shorts, it was too weird and it took me out of it. The ending short was okay, and I think they messed up Angel's vampire face. But it was good, nothing to go and run and tell mama about.

Not sure comics are really my thing, but I do love Buffy content. Did kinda feel like the show but I felt like I missed a lot of the action in the fight scenes.

I think I enjoyed these stories, all of which take place during Season 3 of the show, more than I did volume 3. They were more interesting, and seemed to follow the continuity a little better. Though it was weird to see a story take place without containing Wesley even though he was in Sunnydale when the story was supposed to take place.

And they ended on an interesting note - a story that takes place immediately after Season 3 was over (

This was another fun return to the Buffy universe, with an interesting format and some fun stories. I liked the way the first story emulated the arc of a full season, including side stories, thematic arcs and a Big Bad. The short stories in the second half were as fun as usual, but with a large focus on Spike, Angel and Dru which was interesting. As always, I loved the feeling of reading "mini-episodes" with elaborate villains that couldn't have been made on TV. Overall, another fun return to the Buffy universe.

This volume in particular feels the most like a lost season of Buffy. The dialogue, the way the characters interact, and the use of some filler issues within a larger Big Bad arc just perfectly match the tone and pace of the show. That being said, I find Selke to be too simple of a villian for this long of an arc.
