I enjoyed Demitria's other books, so I had to check this one because the cover and the synopsis were calling my name. The first plot twist in the book is so well done. I thought the story was going one way, and then it did a 180 and blew my mind!
What I love the most about her writing style is how easily I can immerse myself in the story. I think this is the first time I wanted to finish a book quickly because I couldn't put it down! However, the ending was underwhelming and felt rushed. I wish it were expanded over a few more chapters because that last plot twist deserved more explanation, and it felt pointless to throw it at the end of the story.
Despite some scenes being exaggerated and predictable, I had lots of fun reading this, and I plan on rereading it in the future!
