“I wrote it with the profound belief in the fact that all human beings want to same things and those things — laughter, safety and love — are most easily found in community.”

Very on the fence about this one. It was very unique, but also a bit weird. Full review to come.

I was bored by the main character. She was feeling sorry for herself and it just wasn’t getting better. I couldn’t stay in her head anymore. And I was annoyed that no one in her life was telling her to stop being insufferable.

I love a book with an unhinged, female, protagonist, and this one did not disappoint. It had a good plot line and I loved the offbeat humor sprinkle throughout. I found the ending to be surprisingly feel good and heartwarming, which isn’t always the case with books that have a central character who is completely going off the rails! Instead of a zany, weird, ending this ends on a really happy note, and it made me smile. I really liked this book a lot!

Darcy, 29, world has fell apart as her husband wants a divorce and her parents moved out of their family home without telling her. Needless to say, Darcy is almost 30 and is finally experiencing being an adult!

If you read Really Good Actually and enjoyed that book then you will enjoy this one also. This book is a bit better; however, Darcy’s character is another whiny adult about how her life is over after divorce at the ripe old age of 29.

The writing was great and it did bring some heartfilled moments in the end.
