Obviously, most readers at the very moment are probably influenced by the popular show, but in Colin's case I feel reading the book first will help getting a real grasp of the character arcs.
Also, great, quick reads, perfect palate cleansers so to speak.

Title: Romancing Mister Bridgerton
Author: Julia Quinn
Review:
All that being said here are my thoughts:
I cannot tell you how much I hated this book. I have no words. Over the last five years I have only read a single book that I hated more than this one for entirely different reasons.
“And that was when he realized that Daphne had been right. His love hadn't been a thunderbolt from the sky. It had started with a smile, a word, a teasing glance. Every second he had spent in her presence it had grown, until he'd reached this moment, and he suddenly knew. He loved her.”

Minor: Body shaming and Physical abuse

the overall plot that didn’t center on the romance itself was kinda riveting and that kept me entertained most of the time. and sure, when we finally got to the romance between polin, it was sweet, adorable even. but it was still so sparse in their own story! like for a romance book, the romance between the main characters was barely fleshed out but somehow we’re still expected to believe they love each other that much? it doesn’t make sense.
oh! and don’t even get me started on colin’s temper or jealously-slash-inferiority complex… ugh, such a man!
so yeah, something was amiss with this one.
