This is the 2nd in the series but can be read as a stand alone book. As with the first book I enjoyed it and was immediately drawn into the plot. It was good to see the main characters again. Also liked the comparisons between what people and society were like in the early 1800s and now. Looking forward to book 3.

I have really enjoyed these first 2 books in this series, and look forward to reading the next 3. One of the things I like most about them is the contrasting of conditions, especially for women, between the Regency era and the 21st century, as experienced by the heroine.

I love that Kendra goes out of her way to try and keep future information (events, inventions, etc.) to herself and inevitably ends up letting tidbits leak out while conducting her investigations.

Looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

The second book seamlessly picks up where the first left off, with Kendra trying to return to the 21st century but finding herself stranded in the 19th. Once again, she's drawn into solving a compelling mystery.

The mystery aspect is skillfully crafted, keeping me engaged with its suspenseful twists. Some descriptions were vivid and intense, catering well to fans of the genre. While I anticipated certain plot turns, the identity of the murderer took me by surprise.

The romantic storyline was equally captivating. Having looked forward to its development since the series began, I thoroughly enjoyed exploring the intricacies of the relationships.

Overall, the second book proves to be a welcome addition to the series, maintaining the same level of enjoyment as the first. I'm eager to continue reading and see where the story takes Kendra next.

I have been reading the series and enjoy historical murder mysteries. This has the time travel twist. Fish out of water complications. Simple but a nice read. I like the main characters.
