Very good book. Full of twists with an ending that is unexpected!

2** I found the characters really unlikeable (the majority seemed narcissistic and/or sociopathic)
3*** for the plot in the first part of the book, 2** for the remainder
Others seem to like her other books better, so I will try some of those...

20 million dollars missing....

What did I like? This is a certifiable who done it... Nora Trier is an accountant that handles white collar crime...criminals that hide money. The stage is set and the crime already committed as the analyst tries to solve the case. Motive...means...money as the corporation Strike lead by Gregg Abbott has a massive payday coming up but the money has disappeared.

Would I buy or recommend? The author doesn’t disappoint as the stage is set. Nora has an open marriage and she knows Gregg from a one night stand. Does that add to the cause or take away. So many clues but only one ending and it is amazing. A stunning read.

Thoughts for the author? Brilliant... this is my second book by this author and no less brilliant than the five star first. I’m officially a fan! Thanks so much to Netgalley and your publisher for an ARC to read and give my honest opinion. It was fabulous!

Bit boring and lengthy. Some stuff were predictable and it was like u know who was “IT”, but getting there was a drag. The ending though was 😂

I loved it! The author left just enough doubt until the very last page. Incredibly impressed that she was able to hold my attention while talking about forensic accounting and kickboxing. Loved every second of it.

just awesome.
I read lots of pulpfiction thrillers - hoping maybe for good dialog, or characters, or plot...generally not all of the above.
But a female protagonist that is an accountant! yeah.
Super interesting book.

Decent faced paced mystery. I’d put this squarely in the “beachy” book category. It’s not one that I’d shout to recommend to everyone I know, but it keeps your attention. It was a bit predictable but still enjoyable.

I really enjoyed the book and how it was written, however I felt there was a lot of forced feminism rather than letting it flow throughout the book.
