This is the kind of book that makes me think I could write a book.
This book of short stories is like listening to someone run through their standup comedy routine and not all the jokes are winners. Also, I'm not a fan of bathroom humor. It wasn't a hit for me, but I would encourage others to give it a shot anyway. I think a lot of people will find it funny.

Sam as married stepmom in her 40s was always going to be the Same for me. this one was less punchy, more confident, with fewer cutesy buttons at the end of chapters (which was my biggest complaint about Meaty - she always wrote like 2 sentences too many at the very end of every essay).
my favorite recurring joke of the collection is "[xyz, ex. Getting up at 3am to bake bread] is not my ministry." will be using that liberally for the next fiscal quarter.

Not my favorite Samantha Irby book, but I still laughed so hard I thought I would pee a few times.
