It's obvious that i adore Leigh's books since listening to vicious im addicted to her words. I was really addicted to her beauty full words. My exietment for these book was heigh as the Mount Everest. And it's no wonder that miss was able to fullfil all my expections.
The story was catching from the first page to the end. Because we had really interesting characters and i liked the theme of the book also.
Again i really had problems putting it down. iwas like ok its 10 pm and you had to get up early tomorrow so you schould sleep but you still have an hour to readand in the morning i woke up tow hours earlier then actually ahd to read.
Even if these book was really angsty again it hadn't to much angst in the story and the balance between the angst and humor was slos in a good level.
Leigh made it again to put me to a really interesting journey with these story it was character journey these time. and i really was able to get how the characters develop with out the feeling thats going to fast.
Leigh did an amazing to give all her characters interesting flaws. Also the flaws helped me to find characters more auhtentic.
I really liked that we got a glimps of the other sinners. Because it was intresting to see what Bane thought about them.
Roman Bane Prosenko seemed like an asshole in the beginning but now it looks like he cares about some people really much also he is smart guy.
Jesse also was smart and had some humor. But also she is a really bright girl and strong women. She knows who fight for her self.
For everyone who is loves reading emotional and cathing storys these books a recommendation. So these book gets fivie of five stars.

Bane has been one of LJ Shen’s most refreshing characters that I have read in a long time. Bane is a hot mess and he doesn’t make any excuses. But underneath that hard, cocky exterior there is a person who is hurting. There is also a completely different side to Bane as well and I loved seeing the layers removed.

Jesse. My heart broke so many times for Jesse while I read this story. She endured so much and had to deal with all types of judgments from others as well as shaming. It was horrible. Absolutely horrible. The people who were supposed to protect her the most let her down for their own sick and twisted reasons. It was hard to read at times.

I have to say this one of my favorite reads by LJ Shen. It was real, raw and refreshing. The story held my attention from the beginning to the very end. We had so many secret revelations that blew me away! My jaw was dropping, my heart was aching and I wasn’t sure how much I could take anymore. Bane will definitely be on my favorite read list of 2018.

So here's the thing. I still don't know what to write here sooo. I guess I'll just leave this (for now) saying that me liking this is unexpected. I went in to this book thinking what could possibly make this any different from the other books in the series? Then Bane came. And Bane oh he's not the kind of bad boy I'm expecting... bane is a sweetheart indeed. He almost.. almost stole my heart. I think a re-read might just do that. Then Jesse I love her development at the end she didn't need to rely on Bane all the time. Bane respects her and her process of healing. They are perfect for each other :')

In short this book is amazing still! That's all you need to know. (and Bane's long hair, that's sexy af)

Trigger warning for this book: Sexual assault, rape, violence

Jus wow!

Admittedly, I didn’t think I would like this as much as the reviews were saying I would. No spoilers but the first bits are pretty darned hard. But, oh my gawd, Ms. Shen brought it around for me and gave me everything I could have asked for in a book. Loved it! Loved Bane. Loved Jesse!

Loved this book, the emotions, the lust, envy, rage, fight, love, freedom, and so many more emotions. This books is focused less on the fact that the hero, is less than hero material when you think of romance. He is full of flaws, deceit, and lust. He is self assured, has swagger for days, but when he does something he does it 100%. Bane is an enigma, he projects one thing to the world, when it couldn't be further from the truth.
Jesse, lord have mercy, life handed her a crap hand, that is for sure. She is strong, a fighter, willing to live life to the fullest, and willing to trust in Bane, when she knows she probably shouldn't. She is full of cracks, and flaws, and meshes perfectly with Bane. Never have a seen a more beautifully written book. The pacing was perfect, it was slow burn city, but when it took off it set the world on fire. Shen knows how to write the perfect book. Plain and simple. This story is told in dual pov.

There is a lot to unpack with this one.

Reread & the audible narrators are great.

After the rest of the series I first read Bane expecting some surface level california surfer stoner romance, probably some uncomfortably rich guys kicking about. I did not expect the emotional rollercoaster and character development that we got (it's a dark one, check TWs). Jessie and Bane are BY FAR my favourite LJ characters, I will continue to reread them every so often just

I was not expecting to love this as much as I did. Bane isn't one of our hotholes, and I was surprised we got a story about him given that no other secondary characters got one, but wow, I'm so glad we did.

Jesse and Bane's story touched me deep in my soul- two characters who have their own trauma and histories that have causes them to harden themselves and retreat from others, yet they are brought together in a gripping tale. Together, they are able to reclaim themselves, rediscover themselves, and thrive. They complete and need each other in such a captivating way- you can FEEL their connection coming off the book. Honestly, I love EVERY hothole pairing, but this one takes the cake for me. The tenderness, the care, the intimacy and chemistry is all that we expect from LJ, but the way that Bane and Jesse fit is like two complex pieces of a giant puzzle.

Like most LJ stories, we have scarred characters who are combating their issues in less than healthy ways. Jesse is hiding from the world, broken and alone. Bane is giving the word his literal and proverbial middle finger, hustling through it jaded and bitter. Bane is contracted to befriend Jesse and give her a job by her stepfather, his attempt to push her to re-enter the world. Along the way, his friendship heals her and gives her the courage to not only reclaim herself but to unpack her trauma further- which unravels all new mysteries and pain.

This can be read as a standalone, but the Sinners of Saint books are all worth a read. We meet Bane in Trent's book (book 4), and while from that Bane I had little interest in knowing more, I'm so glad LJ brought us him.
