Wow, this was a lot. I cannot commend Alan Cumming enough for sharing his story, this story, in such a beautiful way. Hearing his narration as he recounted his traumatic and triumphant memories was an amazing experience, and I’m so glad I listened. There were a few moments, especially at the end and when he shared memories of his grandmother, where he made me cry — justifiably, I think. This was a wonderful memoir, and I highly recommend it to readers even unfamiliar with Cumming himself.
