This is the book that the rest of the series seemed to be leading up to, and the first one I was like THIS IS AWESOME instead of yeah this is p good p good.

I couldn’t put this book down! Love where this one took the story line with Toms mom and Alice. And dying for number 7 to arrive because the intro was at the back of this one and I can’t believe what’s already happening!

I love how this installment went into Mam and her story more, after hinting at it throughout the previous books. This book was more linear in terms of plot development and not really as spooky (no pun intended) as the other books, but it was still super fast paced and a great read, and probably one of the most interesting in terms of the story.

I love how this got into Mam's backstory, though it's been tough to watch Tom and Alice's struggle with the dark continue-although this is one of the recurring themes in this series. It's very well done and amazingly entertaining.

I recommend this book to any looking for a YA "horror"/fantasy read, though admittedly this is probably the least creepy book I've read in the series. I also recommend that you start at the beginning of the series, it's worth your time!

This was an amazing book!

I loved discovering Greece, and especially finding out more about Mam! What a plottwist!
I also love the fact that although he doesn’t want to, Tom uses the Dark to save the people he cares about.

The only negative to this book is that now Alice is gonna have to stick around......

I can’t help to see how/if he, Alice and Gregory are going to defeat the Fiend!

For some reason, this book felt sort of rushed to me? I felt like one second, they were preparing for the big fight and then BAM, there it was...not super happy with the outcome, of course, but overall another solid YA book/

Didn't grab me in the first half like the others in the series, but by the end I was hooked as always. Can't wait to see what happens next. Seriously, if you have a reluctant reader in your life, child or adult, recommend this series. You will be doing them a solid!
