This was a decent thriller/mystery book that held my attention. I really liked Johnny and Hunt's characters and liked the way the multiple mysteries played out. I didn't like how easily both Johnny and Hunt were able to solve the "Freemantle" clues, it seemed really far-fetched and convenient.

Was entertaining enough but there were an unreasonable amount of twists that detracted from the story, in my opinion

I loved the flow of this book! This is my first time reading this author and I was blown away by this book; how everything came full circle at the end. I can't wait to finish Hush, the sequel to The Last Child.

SUPER good! realistic, heartbreaking characters and suspenseful if uncomfortable plot, with just enough twisty turns to make you want to read JUST ONE MORE CHAPTER to see what the heck is going to happen next. LOVE the author's writing style and vivid descriptions. (do i have examples? no, i do not. so good though.)
