"Some people are born to be doctors. You were one of those rare ones. I knew from the beginning how capable you were. I was hard on you - maybe too hard - because you were good. I was tough on you because I wanted you to be tougher on yourself. I wanted you to be perfect, because in our profession, there's no room for error. None."
Another great Sidney Sheldon book. I think that it was very timely that I picked up this book in the middle of the pandemic since doctors and allied medical professions are now the new heroes of society.
I had some slight issues with some of the characters (particularly with Honey and Kat) in this book but I think it just showed how the author was able to show the duality of doctors in the field. That while many people hail them as "Gods" or saviors, they are still very human deep down that are prone to making mistakes and errors - some small, while others are very unforgivable.
Overall, really enjoyed it.

"Three women doctors begin five years training at Embarcadero County Hospital, San Francisco. The story, set against hospital and courtroom, chronicles their lives together and their struggle to outwit those determined that they don't succeed." (From Amazon)
I read during my Danielle Steel phase, but still was not a fan of it. Read this novel because of the tv movie based on the novel.

This book made me sad, the ending was bitter sweet, but I really enjoyed reading it.
