There are certain phrases in the book that I personally think are repeated enough that they get obnoxious, and I definitely think there should be some trigger warnings. I hate that the "bad guys" don't have any real consequences, and they're definitely worse in this book than in The New Guy. I was highly uncomfortable with one of the scenes and didn't feel like it maybe needed to be as intense as it was for a romance that I was reading to feel good. But other than that, I thought the romance was adorable, and I loved the side characters and getting to see a little bit of the MCs from the first book. I'm really hoping the next book is about Hale (he's so grumpy and mysterious), and that we learn more about what Coach Powers meant when he made the comment about himself.

I loved this book! So many sweet moments, and it had a great balance between fun and serious topics. Just like the first book, I lost track of time when I was reading, the story took me away from the outside world for a while.

Such a soft book, I loved Tommaso and Carter. They were pretty different characters but they treated each other so well, they supported the other (even when they didn't really understand), and encouraged the other to grow at their own pace. Their relationship developed in such a natural way and the accidental flirting was cute.

I enjoyed seeing Tommaso becoming more comfortable and confident with himself and showing himself to those who matter to him. It was also nice to see the continuation of Hudson and Gavin's story in this one.

Just a really enjoyable read.

I love Tommaso and Carter with my whole heart! This book definitely makes my best of 2023 list! This book was heartwarming, made me laugh out loud and swoon over and over again. I loved Tommaso's character development in this story. His self discovery and growth as he finally accepts himself was beautiful and felt so real the whole way. Carter was going through his own growth and development and they were so complimentary. I could not get enough of these two!! Narrated by Jacob Morgan and Teddy Hamilton I was excited knowing what i was going to get and was blown away by the result. The narrators interpreted these characters perfectly but they also did amazing performances of the other's voice. Jacob Morgan in particular really brought out his best Teddy Hamilton when voicing Carter's lines in Tommaso's POV. The comedic timing was on point the whole book and they made me feel all the sexual tension and gratification in their delivery.

This couple is hanging out at the top of my favorite list with Jamie and Wes, I can't recommend this enough! Definitely going on my reread list.

I received an ALC of this book and voluntarily give my review.
