Pure insanity. Repetitive drama and nonsense.
Brontë's writing is wonderful, but this story got old very quickly.

A fairly enjoyable read. I enjoyed the perspective of the housekeeper telling the story, but don't love frame narratives in general. All the characters suck, it was like reality TV from the 1800s

Much more enjoyable this time around compared to when I was made to read it for high school English class. Perhaps because the notion of anti-heroes and rooting for the villain is more common for me now as compared to then.
