My best friend and my mom both couldn’t believe I’d never read this book before. So, even though it’s technically a children’s book, I thought I would see what it was all about.

It did not disappoint. The voice it is written in is so true and genuine and made me feel like I was back in my tween brain. Though the book ends with a lot of plot points not really wrapped up, I think that is the beauty of a story like this. The book sort of ends exactly when Margret finally reaches this milestone in her young life. It feels like it ends right when a new chapter of her life is starting.

This is a wonderful little book and even if you are an adult I would recommend it if you want a walk down memory lane. And I know that I will be reccomending this book to my kids when the time eventually comes.

This book is timeless and a 5/5!

I will always associate this book with seeing it in my elementary school library and all of the girls trying to figure out the contents inside without checking it out themselves.

Turns out this book is a great book for middle school girls. It validates all of the strange thoughts a feelings you have at that age. Even if it was written in the 70's, it seems pretty timeless!

A very good young adult book that deals with the realities of growing up. The writing reminded me of Jacqueline Wilson, she also writes the truth for her readers.

Great book for YA audiences, sex is probably the number one confusing issues to adolescents, but religion is quite up there too. The girl believes in God, but doesn't adhere to an organized religion, much like myself. It was a short straight forward read, for ages 8 and above.
