This one was just as enjoyable as Burden Falls but slightly more predictable. Burden Falls spun me off the axis of the earth and this one just slightly surprised me. Overall, I would recommend.

This book was a fever dream. It might be because I listened to the audio book, but this book was all over the place!!! I enjoyed it overall, but think I need to read the physical copy!

So this was very gripping, sinister and slightly twisted. There were certain parts where I wasn’t convinced by the main character or even really liked her. But what I did love was her not taking shit from anyone though I found the grandmother really not convincing it felt too much of a horror trope. That was the only off putting note about the story certain characters were well written and rounded while others I felt needed to be completed.

This is an easy book to get through if you're looking for a mystery/thriller. I liked it but got confused in a few parts. I think my expectations were a little too high for this book and that's why it's not a 5/5 for me. I will say it gets better by the end of the book and there are a few twists & turns!

This was a fun quick read. I didn't see the plot twist coming at the end but other parts of the book were kind of predictable. I didn't feel any connection to the characters, the plot was confusing at times and overall it was just okay. One thing I did like was the atmosphere that was built up around Harrow Lake. I just felt like there was so much more potential in this book that was left unexplored.
