This is the complete Calling Me Series containing all three parts. I recently read Indigo Nights and so enjoyed that book, which was the first time I had read this author, that I wanted to read the stories about the other characters in that story. This book is well written. Louise Bay has a writing style that pulls the reader into the story and keeps them engaged. It is a fluid style that allows the plot and story line to flow. However, unlike Indigo Nights, I just had trouble connecting with Ash, on of the main characters in this book. I was hoping for someone strong, like the main female character in Indigo Nights, but just found Ash to be a complainer who got in her own way. The rest of the characters I enjoyed and found to be well written. Given my previous experience with this author, I was disappointed I couldn't connect with Ash, nor did I particularly like her most of the time.

I was so excited for Luke and Ashley's story! I mean, she's been in-love with him forever! She really put us all through it though. So many times I wanted to just shake her and yell in her face TAKE THE GOOD THING AND STOP TRYING TO FIND BAD! She couldn't hear me though so we went on a journey. Of course we got there in the end and it was wonderful!

I liked being able to read this as a complete series to see the whole progression. Ashleigh has had feelings for her best friends brother Luke for years. Luke is commitment phobic and comes to the realization one day that Ash, is more than his sisters best friend. Ash proceeds to put Luke through the ringer to declare he is in fact in love with her and wants happily ever after with her.
While I love a good friends to lover's story this dragged a little for me. The characters were likeable for the most part but it fell a little flat for me.

Calling Me: The Complete Series was a funny and cute friends to lovers romance, the kind you can read on any given day and find a smile on your face. The friendship between Ashleigh, Luke, and Haven, as well as her husband and his sister, was hilarious. They're the kind of friends you picture at your dinner table, making jokes and being the people you turn to when you need to be serious. All were really relatable and the book followed true to how friendships work. Luke was a great guy, the kind of guy girl's would leap for. When he started making personal development changes in his life I was swooning right alongside Ashleigh and every other female character. His relationship with Ashleigh wasn't a unique story line, but it was fun to read. Their interactions were sometimes awkward, sometimes really steamy, and sometimes just like friends usually are. I liked how the characters overcame their differences, facing them as individuals in order to find eachother.
While the story was at times predictable, it was still very enjoyable to read. I found myself growing tired of Ashleigh's meltdowns and her lack of faith, but I understood what they did for the story. Told in three novella parts, the complete series is definitely something I am glad I read all in one sitting rather than waiting for each individual novella to be published. While each section doesn't have a major cliffhanger, they do leave you wanting for more, a lot more.
Calling Me was definitely a feel good kind of read and I really enjoyed sitting down and entering the lives of Ashleigh, Luke, and their family and friends. If you're looking for a shorter read with all the emotions, from angst to fluffy love, this is it.

The premise for this story is pretty everyday which was quite appealing; three friends, girl in love with boy for forever, boy oblivious until he isn't. However, this has an older feel, as the characters are more mature at late 20s, established in their careers and truly focused on their friendship being more like family. I quickly got drawn into the story and connections.
Both Luke and Ashleigh were likeable characters. Luke lacked some depth and self awareness especially in the first story, but he did seem to develop as a person and a character as the second book progressed. Ashleigh was a little annoying with her self-destruct button, I didn't understand some of her decisions. The books ebbed and flowed, with some parts that seemed to lack momentum. Overall, the series was a good read with characters you could identify with.

I have never been so disappointed in finishing a book than I have for this one. It was alright, even meh status to me. It was honestly a struggle to get through the rest of this book. Her insecurity was understandable at first, but by the end it got tiring. Like we get it, but how much more does he have to prove that he wants to be with you? Not to mention I'm a sucker for a friends to lover trope, but this one has me wanting to pull my hair out. Never been so happy to finish a book and never to pick it up again.
