Well..... That was... something else?! I don't really know what to say about this story. So I will tell you what happened and you can decide for yourself.

Human MC decides to get hammered after a stressful day at work (something I'm not a fan of by the way) and meets mysterious, sexy MC in a kind of bar / sex club? It wasn't clear what exactly it was. They hook up, have semi-public sex in the bar / club while the human MC is almost out of it. Then the human MC wakes up in the mysterious MC's bed, discovers his lover for the night is a bird shifter, says what the hell, the end.

Maybe if I had checked the page count before starting this I wouldn't have been so surprised about the ending. I actually counted the pages to see if there was something missing from my download. But nope, nothing missing except... There was no romance unless you consider a drunken hookup romantic. No connection at all between the MCs (This actually is kind of believable. How would they have been able to form a connection in such a short time while one of them has been inebriated?)

I haven't read many stories about bird shifters yet and I'm kind of sad this one ended so abruptly. A few more chapters to show more of them, how they get to know each other outside of the bedroom, something like this, and I would have been happy. I know short stories can't / aren't as elaborate as full-length novels but a bit more would have gone a long way towards making this story so much better.
