The book was a bit hit or miss for someone outside of the world of lawyers and judges. Some interesting stories of the political and legal goings on for the first part of the 20th century in Lincoln, Nebraska. The book is mainly transcriptions of interviews of former lawyers and judges, with some former Nebraska governors and congressional representatives as well. The stories would just start getting interesting and then veer off in some other direction. If you didn't know the names, it got a little hard to keep the stories straight.
