Intriguing storyline! I predicted the plot twist quite early into the book. Slow at times but a fun lil read

Original review 1-7-2018:

Five students enter detention, only four come out. Simon Kelleher was murdered, and one of the others must have done it. A whodunit of the highest caliber, this book has you on the edge of your seat throughout its entirety. Every character has something to hide and Simon knew about it all.

Everything about it was mid. The writing, the storyline, the characters, the whole thing was mid. The reason I finished this book is because i’m on vacation and have the time, also it would be a waste and a shame to bring a book to the other side of the world just to dnf it. And than there’s the fact that I want to watch the series but I’d already owned the book so for obvious reasons I’d had to read that first.

Anyhow to come back to the book. Nothing really stood out to me. The only nice thing and what I liked is the killer and the reveal sort of. Still it was pretty anticlimactic how the story afterwards was written, felt very very rushed.

The characters were portrayed and written very bad. Lots of unnecessary and uninteresting stuff. Wait basically all the characters were boring and absolutely nothing stood out to me if I think about them again. I did like Connor (don’t even remember his name…) his grandmother but maybe that’s just cause I have a weakness for elderly people.

Probably won’t read the rest of the series unless I really like the first season of the serie cause than I need to read the other books.
