I Will Judge You by Your Bookshelf is a collection of cartoons by Grant Snider all related to books, readers and writing.

They're sweet, wryly funny, and bound to appeal to bookworms everywhere. Grant Snider pokes fun at the obsessive nature of many booklovers, and clearly includes himself in our ranks. Some of the cartoons are aimed at writers - mainly the procrastinating variety! But even if you aren't personally struggling to write your masterpiece, if you ever interact with authors on social media, you'll recognise some of the traits here.

A lovely gift for any readers in your life.

If I liked poetry, I'd probably appreciate this more.

I like it and somewhat funny. The illustration kinda cute, but it’s seems a bit repetitive.

This book explores reading, language, and the writing process through comic strips, diagrams, and illustrations. Some of it was very clever. I really enjoyed the part about the writing process, and there were some nice puns and wordplay. It had some very good points about writing and language even though it was written in a cartoonish style. I think I would have liked it better if I hadn't tried to sit down and read it cover to cover like a novel. Reading it this way seemed a bit much. I think it's the kind of book you should keep on your shelf and dip into as the mood hits you. I may come back to it later for another look.
