Well, this is the end of the series for me even though there are five more books.
SpoilerAfter this one there is a baby involved who will only three as of book #9. Yeah no, not for me. I'll just be satisfied with the wedding.

Last in the series (although I'm hoping not forever) and a solid story to to finish things off with a hint as to what the future might hold.

I love this couple. They are a solid five stars for me, as are Harper Fox's descriptions of Cornwall and the various oddities that the boys come up against in their journey. And for that I must give the series as a whole five stars. What drops each individual story is that they all seem to touch in some way on child abuse, a subject that normally has me closing a book faster than anything. Luckily in these books the subject is neither graphic nor dealt with in a heavy handed manner a combination that allowed me to continue reading. That I love Lee and Gideon so much helped too.

When last we saw these two gents, Lee was finally able to get rid of a spiritual albatross that had hung around his neck for years, freeing up a latent capacity to actually see more than just impressions or connections. Such a power can be thrilling but very scary as well, especially when his “sight” is not reliable or predictable.

In an effort to lessen his stress, Gideon whisks Lee away to a remote area for some much needed R&R. While there, both encounter a spirit that not only reinforces the changes Lee is undergoing but possibly means that Lee is slowly affecting Gideon as well. With conflicting opinions and interpretations about the spirit’s validity, it’s the very first for these two to have such a heated disagreement.

Thankfully, passion is never short, nor is their love ever lacking. Even in anger and frustration, both Lee and Gideon fret and worry, always putting the other first. Again the paranormal aspect is always a bit nebulous to me, but what is always crystal clear is how much these two will do for the other, and how deep their feelings run. This time around the heat level went up a notch, as the sensuality and intimacy were oh-so-nice. Of course this ends with both Gideon and Lee further solidifying their devotion to each other with a bit of a game changer thrust upon them! I eagerly look forward to seeing what’s next in store for this lovely duo!

It’s not that I didn’t enjoy myself on this, because I did, it’s more just that this is more drama than mystery. There *is* a mystery, don’t get me wrong, but it’s not much of one (and I feel like that’s by design?) I’m not sure.

These two men are so amazing. The mystery was also pretty fascinating and with Gideon’s latent maybe clairvoyance I’m excited to see how this plays out. Plus, Gideon and Lee are ridiculously hot.

Audio book review - narrator: Tim Gilbert

Another good book in this series. This one seemed to have a bit more depth. The mystery kept me wondering what was going on until the end.
