Sisters and a legal drama. One thing about Kristin Hannah, she’s going to take us through breaking a family apart and bringing them back together. But this time - she is inspired by the Innocence Project, and we are taken on the heartbreaking journey of trying to prove a stranger in a small town was wrongfully convicted. It’s a story about how hope can hurt, loneliness, learning how love is true, and the bonds between sisters conquering all, even when there’s been betrayal. Also - this one is for the horse girls.

It was a sad story that had some moments, but overall I was annoyed by it. First of all, it felt like I was being hammered over and over again about the strength of sisterhood. It was too much too often. The whole book is about sisterhood being tested, so there was no need to have to bring it up every other page (I’ve noticed this in some of her other books too). Secondly, the story unfolded so predictably that it needed to stand on the strength of its characters, but they too were completely predictable.
