As a fan of Chainsaw Man I was excited to read this oneshot! I found the art to be full of little details that added to the story and added more depth to it. The story follows two young girls who are interested in becoming manga authors. The story itself was sweet and a little sad, so be prepared for that. It has plenty of relatable (to me at least) moments surrounding childhood and grief. This story is short enough that I recommend it to anyone unless you aren’t in the mood for something sad right now.

Fumetto decisamente consigliato.

I received an eARC of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Tough to follow, but definitely a powerful treatise on friendship, grief, and loss--I was so invested in the friendship that the tragedy at the end affected me more than I thought it would.

An inspiring short story by the same creator of ‘Chainsaw Man’. For all artists or artistic individuals whom have a drive and a passion, this book reminds us why we create and the joys of creation. This was a love letter to all who do art and had a real heart felt message behind this tragic story.

The art is outstanding and there’s a ‘real’-ness about the way Fujimoto decides to draw his characters almost candidly.

If you’re interested in a short, character driven story about two individuals whom you can relate to on an artistic and human level - this is the story for you.
