"The music of his voice is familiar, but this is a new key."

Ok, again, I did not LOVE the hero in this, Max, and the trope of a miscommunication from years and years ago that is keeping our two leads apart NOW is also not my fave. But still, this book was SO FUNNY. The whole thing with her cousin Antonio "acting" like a mobster obsessed with her to make Max jealous had me CACKLING. A very fun audiobook to help kill work time. I also loved all the musical theater in this! I would love to see Mia's Reno Sweeney!

It was fine. A little challenging to get through as an audiobook. Perhaps the physical book is better.

Max and Mia are adorable and their enemies to lovers, second chance feels authentic.

She works as a cat dressed lunch delivery girl and is required to start delivering Max’s lunches but learns the book he wrote about 10 Golden Rules to Get the Hottest Woman in the Room actually messed with the lives of her closest friends by douchebags abusing their acquired flirting skills.

She starts to use his tactics on him and it drives him crazy but then he opens up to her like he did on high school and she learns why he rejected her all those years ago.

Very cute with 1 or 2 spicy sex scenes sprinkled in. Something Annika Martin does well with these second chance romances is describing the Hero’s verbals when they first finally get together. It’s heart warming.

Friends to enemies to lovers. It’s still somewhat weird that they got together before they resolved their issues.

Whew... this one gave me some brutal second hand embarrassment. There were a few parts that were pretty funny but some of those scenes.. wow, I felt like I had to look away or read with one eye closed. I wish I could remember what the scene was about exactly but I have already forgotten most of the book I just read. Just a *meh* in the series for me so far.

I'm also not as happy with the way it ended. I was led on thinking someone else was going to happen when they got back to his apartment after her show. womp womp (It's still a HEA though, don't worry)
