In this volume Nikki continues to struggle at her fancy new prep school, but things seem to be looking up. She just attended the big dance with her crush and she seems to have found two BFFs. But the Queen Bee is still trying to make her life miserable by blackmailing her into not performing in the talent show, convincing Nikki's BFFs to join her group for the talent show, hanging all over Nikki's crush, and convincing Nikki that her scholarship has been revoked and she'll have to switch back to public school.

These books are so cute and clearly on point for the demographic they're aimed at, but this 30-something mother will probably not read anymore of this series unless my daughter gets into them when she's older. Way too much angst and drama for me.
