My thoughts: page 25 out 310 - I'm really enjoying this book although I don't recognize anyone.
85 - I'm really enjoying this story. I wish she didn't skip over the interesting parts though.
121 - ❤ this is better than the other books.
168 - Roll credits. This is a bit unbelievable but I'm still enjoying the story.
241 - I was worried this drama would affect my 5 star high, but it's still just as good. This is a different vibe than the previous 3 books. Although Sarah sounds younger than her age, not surprisingly it was just dropped from 9 to 8, she sounds 6.
276 - There's not enough pages left.
I didn't see any connection, other than location, from the first 3 books. The first book was set partially in Seattle so there's a nice gap between that book and this one but I read them pretty close together, I have a fairly good memory, and I didn't see anybody that I recognized from the previous books. I was looking for a connection hopefully I did not miss it. I actually was not disappointed that the sisters from the 3 previous books we're not involved in this story. It was a fresh start and it was different from the other books, instead of a is a sappy shallow romance, this story was darker, more serious, and even though I knew who the players were I had no idea how it would happen. I loved this story, I was very interested in what happened to Shay. The things I didn’t like didn't bother me as much. Shay was a sacrificial lamb and a pushover. The children behave much younger than their years. That computer glitch was outrageous and I'm still not buying it, it happened in real life yet I still think the scenario in this book is highly unlikely as her version was a step too far. This book covers several years, she fast-forwards the interesting bits, so the ending was a bit disappointing, I wanted a lot more information.
Recommend to others?: Yes. This story was great, especially if you're tired of formulaic romances but enjoying predictability.
