A beautiful edition of Cinderella. As well as the traditional story it gives a lot more depth to the characters, and rather than the prince saving Cinderella, they save each other. Absolutely beautiful illustrations which really add to the story itself. I would recommend to young and old, and will treasure it to read to my children if I ever have any.

This one was all right.

I do like that it expands on the characters a little bit so that we don't have the generic bad guys and good guys I love the message "Have courage and be kind." I love that Cinderella ends up forgiving her step family for treating her like trash and I love that they expanded the romance between Kit the prince and Cinderella because it felt so rushed and generic in the original.

Overall a pretty decent book/novelization.

This book proves the quote that says you're never to old for fairy tales. I loved every second of it! Fantastic characterization and imagery. I loved getting to see things from Kit's point of view also. I love how the book explains a few things that the movie leaves out too. The illustrations are spectacular. There's nothing bad about this book and it's great for all ages!

This book is very sweet. I loved the live action Cinderella and this is a beautiful companion.

I bought this beautiful copy just after I saw the live action movie. This book has beautiful illustrations by Cory Godbey.

The book was able to recapture the beauty and whimsy of the live action film. I really enjoyed this take on the classic tale. I loved seeing Ella spend time with both her parent.

Ella just had such a positive outlook. She tries to find the good in everyone and the silver lining to every bad situation.

I absolutely adored this, I gave it a B+.

Re-read November 18 2018
I literally read this in one sitting with a cup of tea and a snack. This book never fails to make me tear up, laugh, be inspired, grateful and make me feel like I am home. One of my favorite stories to get back to, especially in this beautiful format.

Tip for reading this wonderful book: listen to the Cinderella life-action movie soundtrack! You can just replay some tracks to make them fit for the scene you are reading and it just makes the experience so much better. I am literally writing this review with the last song of the OST playing in the background (Strong by Sonna Rele)

I will definitely re-read this another time.

My new favorite book. The pictures and The story are just great. I also love the movie; but this is slightly better.

Having just watched the movie this past weekend, I can definitely attest to the accuracy of this book to said movie - as I expected. What I did not expect was the colourful and rather wonderful illustrations provided throughout the story - also based off the movie and yet completely different as well as the small things added in simply not present in the movie.

I never cared much for disney cartoon of the fairytale partially because I never owned a copy of the movie and thus it was not a big part of my life. The recent movie made me fall in love with the tale, perhaps all over again, and the book only added to my love.

For this book explains that small details important to the characters, such as the game Ella and her father played with each other, the books and other mementos that Ella was forced to bring with her to the attic, as well as the very emotional state and thoughts of the characters - all of which are present in the movie but not as visible as they are in the books.

It was definitely a fast read, but I enjoyed every minute of it and with the movie alongside it this tale has surely worked it's way up to the top fairytales I love, alongside Rapunzel and it's disney rendition: Tangled.
