This was a good fantasy book but I didn't really connect to the story or the characters.

The plot was good but the relationships felt a bit forced and rushed or just unnatural. I don't know if it's. just the way the characters were written or their interactions.

I will continue this series but I am in no rush.

It was an averagely good fantasy with a liiiiiittle splash of romance. But crumbs really.

Kingdom of the Wicked felt to me like a great introduction to an intriguing world, and I am eager to pick up the next instalment to continue on the journey. I have many questions! Some of the scenes where the storyline takes a sharp turn felt rushed to me and could have been fleshed out more. That being said, I feel like I could make a great Italian sauce with the level of detail in the cooking musings of the FMC (not necessarily a bad thing except that I was hungry for a large portion of the book lol). Sidenote, go Nonna - who doesn't love a powerhouse matriarch :)

I cannot say how much I loved this book!
Kerri Maniscalco did it again! Hands down my favourite author! And probably one of my favourite reads of 2020!

I loved the characters, especially Wrath and his cheeky ways. The story made me salivate many times, due to the amazing descriptions of the Italian dishes that Emilia’s family was cooking for their restaurant.

The witch aspect of the story was wonderful and it made me realise that this is probably one of my favourite types of books to read.

The ending was a little bit unsatisfyingly, but in a good way. I want more, so much more than Kerri gave us for the ending. But that just means that I will be one of the first people to preorder the next book and have it right in front of my nose, taking in all of the wonderful writing that the author just keeps on giving.

Not what I expected but ended up enjoying it more than I thought. An easy read but got me hooked pretty quickly. I’m kinda scared this is leading into a love triangle though…. But overall loving the series

This book was so good! Emilia was a great character trying to find her way through the loss of her sister and navigating the waters of the wicked! It captures your interest for sure and there are still so many secrets to figure out!
