This book has been my favorite reread of the series by far. So much plot-wise started coming together and happening. I loved getting a glimpse of the vampires and wolves in action finally, and I definitely enjoyed revisiting Rosalie’s and Jasper’s pasts and hearing the Quileute legends round the campfire.

Though I disagree with the coercion and forced kissing, I also disagree that the Jacob I came to know from New Moon would have resorted to those methods. Upon rereading as an adult, I really dislike that Stephenie Meyer never gave Jake a true chance and that Bella couldn’t admit her feelings for him without being manipulated into it. I think he deserved to be a viable option on his own merit; I think it would have made for a better story to have actually questioned Edward’s standing with Bella for a bit. TEAM JACOB

Finally some actual conflict! Bella is still just as useless as before, but at least I'm wondering what will happen in the next book.
