I actually listened to this book during a road trip. I still cannot figure out the title...The book was a cute Xmas story. I thought it was a perfect book to get on tape rather than reading. A little disappointed after 13 reasons why, I expected a little more from Jay Asher; but still a cute book.

I picked this up because I loved thirteen reasons why and honestly I loved this too. The story made me feel as warm and fuzzy inside, as if I were watching a Christmas Hallmark movie. Eeek I want to own a Christmas tree farm too. So worth reading and perfect for Christmas.

An easy, light read without an enticing plot. Witty and funny with its sad moments.

This is such a heartwarming Christmas tale about forgiveness and first love. I really enjoyed this.

This is my first book read that was written by Jay Asher, author of [b:Thirteen Reasons Why|29844228|Thirteen Reasons Why|Jay Asher|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1555345043l/29844228._SY75_.jpg|2588213]. I plan to read that book eventually, because I did enjoy watching the tv show based upon it.

What Light is a sweet, fun Christmas story about love and friendship. Sierra's family operates a Christmas tree farm in Oregon and sells the trees in northern California every winter. My paternal grandparents grew Christmas trees for a while before I was born and when I was very young, which made me a little more curious about Sierra's family. I loved hearing how the selling of the trees work and the Christmas feel of the whole story with it being centered around the Christmas trees. Sierra's friends - in Oregon and California - support her well even from a distance. Caleb is an interesting character that helps Sierra understand people better while she falls for him. I liked how she is able to see the light in others beyond their pasts. One thing that would be great for this book would be an epilogue telling how Sierra moves forward with Caleb and her friend Heather, but that could be partly because recent books I have read keep including epilogues. I could be becoming accustomed (spoiled) to those.

Really really cute! I love the setting of the Christmas Tree lot and all the cheesy Christmas stuff!

I'm super glad that Sierra and Caleb didn't break up for half of her time in Cali. They did break up twice, but for less then 12 hours each time which was nice. Honestly that break up for no reason trope to add drama to romances are my least favorite thing ever in books/movies.

I also personally don't like the explanation for Caleb chasing after his sister with a knife. It's pretty sound, but I honestly wish it was something else; like burning something down with a stray firework. Something that people could still be pissed about, but wasn't actually as bad as chasing his little sister with a knife.

But other then those two complaints, I really loved this book.
