I enjoyed this and I had fun, but it didn’t feel…I don’t know. It didn’t feel as cohesive? Or not necessarily cohesive, but I didn’t get how it played into the whole story? It felt more like filler. But it was fun! And I really do love the pages at the back. I feel like it was a great setup for the next one though!

Remembering that this series ended abruptly is really devastating. I followed this part of the story as the webcomic but looping back to read in print before seeing what D. G. Has posted in the way of a final update. *sobs*

Book three, as great as the first two! The author maps out everything so lovingly, they are such a master storyteller. I was reading other reviews about this series, and I agree that it's so stylistically unique it could be made into a kid's show like Adventure Time or Steven Universe with great appeal.
This book fleshes out the character more of the Nightmare Knight, one of the only characters with any depth! The art when the Nightmare Knight shows up to speak to the heroes is interesting and glitchy. For baddies, I also love the duality of the Noisemaster and Mutemaster...love that the Noisemaster also knows the jig is up and is trying something "new". I also like that the Mayor of Organetto takes no bullshit from her tiny bullying son. Unrelated, I only figured out Cosmos the inventor is from space because of his ears...
Last but not least, in addition to Peridot being a tsundere for Almond, I think Princess Piano and the Crystal Kingdom princess could be dating 👀
