I think the characters of these books being so delightful is definitely what keeps readers coming back.  But this book definitely was missing a lot of what made the rest of the series so appealing when it cut out the moms.

It's really over. Again. (But I hope that we get a novella or two to catch up with the girls.) This is a wonderful addition, reminding me of my own summer camp days, and nice to send the girls off to college. I loved Understood Betsy, which I picked up after starting this book and found delightful! I will miss these girls and was a little sad at the end.

I remain obsessed with this series and I am ridiculously sad about finishing it. I will say it's flawed - the entire series is a little too focused on boys and appearances - but I would still highly recommend picking up these books. The audiobooks are especially really well done. I'll definitely be rereading these in the future!

This was such a fun throwback to my childhood. It was deeply cheesy, and I could have done without the characters’ preoccupation with all being partnered up with boyfriends by the end of high school, but it was also super wholesome and sweet and I loved revisiting the characters.

Oh this book. It just makes my heart happy. I love this series so much and I have a secret love of kids books about summer camp, probably since I never went myself. It has been so much fun to watch these characters grow up and to see them with a flock of little girls was so sweet. This book is just happy food for the soul. Loved it.

I have a lot of thoughts about how the last three books in this series could be restructured and this book had two major canon mistakes, but it was still charming and a sweet send off to these characters!

I was so sad thinking that I had read the final Mother-Daughter Book Club book, so it was an absolute joy to spend a summer with the five friends again. It is their last summer before college, and all five are counselors at an all girls camp just outside Pumpkin Falls, NH. (Yes, the town in Absolutely Truly.) They are in charge of the youngest campers and we see all of the skills that they have learned over the years in their book club come into play. A great final send-off as they girls get ready to move on with their lives. A must-read for fans of the series, grades 6 and up.
