3.5 ⭐s. This was good! My first from Neil Gaiman, and while I like his writing well enough, this didn't blow me away. The premise was solid, very folktale-esque, and I loved the twist at the end. Will definitely be picking up more from this author.
Moderate: Animal death, Child abuse, Child death, Confinement, Infidelity, Physical abuse, Suicide, Violence, Blood, and Gaslighting

I thought it was really good, and enjoyed the story telling.
Graphic: Body horror, Gore, Physical abuse, and Blood
Moderate: Child abuse, Confinement, and Infidelity
Minor: Animal death and Sexual content
The sexual content isn't explicit, but it's vaguely covered from the eyes of a child. Also I'm not sure if medical content should be tagged here? If other people did, listen to them. I don't think it's bad, but in this context I'm not sure if that applies, just wanted to mention it.
