Originally, I would put this at 3.5 stars - since about 75% of the book felt like a 3.5 star read for me. Then... the last 25% happened, and I was stunned. I am typically good at finding the plot twists before they happen - this one I did not.
I also, LOVED Auren's character development in this book - it gave Taylor Swift's Reputation Era.
Also, let's give a round of applause for Slade, because SIR. IYKYK.
Anyways - 3 stars didn't feel right, so it's a 4 star for me. I read it in a day because I could not put it down once it got going.

I’m officially OBSESSED! I love Auren’s growth and how her fierce heart keeps beating with kindness despite all of the awfulness it has endured. SLADE. That’s all the needs to be said about that *sighs dreamily*. And Midas can eat a bag of dicks. He made me SO freaking ANGRY. Definitely looking forward to whatever Book Four has in store for Auren, Rip, and the Wrath.
