მეტროში, ვარკეთილი-ახმეტელის თეატრის ხაზზე წაკითხულ წიგნების რიცხვს შმიტის "ნოეს შვილიც" შეემატა.

1942 წელი, ბელგია, შემლეთი - პატარა ებრაელი ჟოზეფი იმალება კათოლიკე მღვდლის - მამა პონსის თავშესაფარში, დილით ქრისტიანობას სწავლობს, ღამე კი - საიდუმლოდ იუდაიზმს. მისი "ნოე" სწორედ მამა პონსია, რომელიც ებრაელი ბავშვების და ზოგადად ყველა ჩაგრული და დევნილი რესურსის გადარჩენას ცდილობს. ეს აქცევს მას ნოედ.

საყვარელი წიგნია. ებრაულ გენოციდზე დაწერილი ერთ-ერთი საუკეთესო მხატვრული ლიტერატურა.
