Behind The Blindfold was a great book to read, we met the lovely Saturday who loves art, is an artist herself and works in a gallery. She seems like a lovely girl and someone that is quite strong in herself.

Her first encounter with Mark is at supermarket, he is talking sternly to someone on the phone. She is intrigued and lingers longer than she should to find out a little more about him. She knocks a display over and Mark helps her pick everything up but when she looks round he has vanished.

The pair meet again at the gallery and one thing leads to another and they get together. The problem is Mark has commitment issues and he will be there one minute and disappear for days, weeks and even months without talking to Saturday and as a result she is not happy about it. They do meet up again and she asks him outright why he is like this but he seems to avoid answering the questions. There is something dark and deep about Mark that we all want to know.

This book is full of suspense and mystery, with a little romance and steaminess too, but it wasn’t full on which I liked as it flowed with the story well.

They characters were likable although I did want to scream at Mark to pull himself together and just commit or walk away as it was not fair on Saturday.

A well written book, with a cliffhanger at the end, luckily the second book is already out so I can read it straight away.

This book was not at all what I was expecting. Saturday bumps into a gorgeous pair of green eyes. When she turns to speak to him he disappears. She seems to keep running into him and seeing him everywhere. Finally she meets him and sparks fly. They seem to have an instant connection but its a bit too much for Saturday so she runs.

Mark isn't willing to let Saturday go and finds another way to see her. When things get to be too much for him, Mark runs. A chance call from his mother brings Saturday back to him, but he's hiding something huge from her and it might be big enough to break them apart for good.

Warning, Huge cliffhanger!

When I first started this mini series, I wasn't sure if I would like it. Sure, the sex was hot and the main character was ok but there seemed to be nothing too exciting happening that made me want to flip the pages faster...

Plus, the whole story was weird. Not weird in a bad way, I guess just different. But I was intrigued enough to continue so that is what I did.

It got better towards the end of the first volume, I was pretty pissed the author left it like she did and I had to go to bed before being able to read the next one!!!
But I continued on to the second volume the next morning and this one was a little more adventurous and kept me entertained from almost the very beginning.

And then the ending...

WHOA...

WTF..

WAS. NOT. EXPECTING. THAT!!!

This author definitely gets MAJOR kudos for that plot twist because it was something I did not see coming in any direction...

Kind of hits you out of left field. There are a few plot twists that are not really easy to spot and it made the story a lot better.

The writing was a little sporadic, the attempt at suspense fell a little flat in both stories, it needed to be spruced up a bit, dug a little deeper, and then maybe both stories would have really EXPLODED.

As it was, the way both stories unfolded was kind of bumpy but not really entertaining. It got a little slow and then a plot twist but nothing led up to the plot twist, it just kind of happened.

Even though the stories themselves were a little flat, I still enjoyed the overall premise and I think with more stories, the author will really thrive!

I give the fist Volume a 3"AHHHHH run for your life" Stars and
Volume 2, 4" PLOT TWISTs was given a new name" Stars!!!

This was a great debut novel! I am so happy every time I read a new author's book and enjoy it. Behind the Blindfold was a quick and entertaining read. I enjoyed it.
Saturday is single. She is very into art but always has been very shy of presenting her own paintings to the public eye. She accidentally bumps into a handsome stranger during a shopping spree in the market and he makes an impression. He is gone before she can even get to talk to him.
Another chance meeting in the art gallery she works at brings her again face to face with the handsome but mysterious stranger.
Mark Rich is an enigma.

Incredibly handsome, he attracts Saturday's attention immediately and lust blossoms between them. Scorching chemistry brings them together but Mark is reserved, only appearing when he likes, only doing what he wants. Saturday is put off by his behavior and decides to safeguard her heart from the dark, gorgeous Mark. Will he let her? Will he open up and finally tell her about who he is? About what he does?
When Saturday finally finds out, will it be what she imagined or not? Ιs Mark a safe choice?
I liked the writing, the plot was refreshing, especially Mark's hobby and I am so glad that I don't have to wait to read the next book. The only thing that put me off was the lack of character development when it came to Saturday. I wanted a little more insight to her character and less swooning over Mark...I hope the next book makes up for that!
3.75 to 4 Stars from me.
